Scope:
To document and comment on obvious noncompliance issues that
exist between Electrical and Telecommunication facilities. Observations
are made and documented while conducting already scheduled pole
attachment inventories on various Cable and Telephone Systems.
Definitions:
- Priority ("P"):
- Requires immediate attention. Potential
for personal injury and/or property damage is great.
- Noted ("N"):
- Can be routed through the normal notification
process.
- Separation ("SEP"):
- P - separation between telecommunications facilities and electric
facilities is less than 12 inches or in physical contact with each other
- N - separation between telecommunications facilities and electrical
facilities is greater than 12 inches but less than 30 inches mid-span or 40
inches at the pole.
- Anchor ("ANC"):
- Telecommunication anchor and/or guy wire is missing or slack
- Clearance ("CLR"):
- P - Above ground clearance of telecommunication facility is less than fifteen (15)
feet.
- N - Above ground clearance of telecommunication facility is greater than
fifteen (15) feet but less than eighteen (18)
feet above roadway or driveway subject to truck traffic.
- Workmanship ("WRK" or "MAINT"):
- Telecommunication facility is in need of maintenance. Examples:
Loose or missing lashing wires; excessive or abandoned cable or service drops
hanging or rolled up on pole; risers not properly attached to pole, etc.
